Fresno Shooting Leaves a Woman in Critical Condition

Fresno, CA, USA (KFSN) -- Fresno Police combed through a southwest neighborhood overnight looking for clues after a 19-year-old woman was shot.

It happened around 9:45 Wednesday night at an apartment complex at Fruit and Hawes.

Police said they received a call about gunfire and found Charnetta Thompson shot in the chest. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said there was a gathering at the apartment complex and as soon as the shooting happened, several people left.

Police are looking into whether there is a drug connection to the shooting.
