Fresno County Home Invasion Robbery

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Two people were injured in a violent home invasion robbery in Fresno County. It happened on a home near Grantland and Mount Whitney, just west of Riverdale.

Initial reports from sheriff's deputies indicated that one person had been shot during a home invasion but later investigators declined to elaborate on what kind of weapon was used, citing the ongoing investigation. They say that three people were at home when the suspects forced their way inside. Two people had to be taken to the hospital.

No one has been taken into custody and investigators say they don't know if the victims knew the suspects. They say the suspects drove away in more than one vehicle. The two men that were injured are expected to be okay.
