Visalia, CA (KFSN) -- South Valley music fans were treated to a once in a lifetime concert experience Wednesday night as two stars who usually play for thousands performed in a much more intimate setting.
People lined up in front of The Cellar Door in Visalia more than twelve hours before a show featuring Billy Corgan and Dave Navarro. The two men first shot to fame in the 1990's. Corgan is the front man for the Smashing Pumpkins and Navarro played with both Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Corgan was in Visalia to kick off a series of intimate performances in California, mostly in coffee shops. "It's hard sometimes to get that, 'here's a song, do people connect with it?' You know, you have to think about the lights and stage and stuff. I would really prefer this most of the time, but it's unfortunately not always that feasible," said Corgan.
Tickets to the concert were 30 dollars and only about 225 were available. They sold out in about two minutes.
