4-Year-Old Alex Mercado found dead

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- His body was found at a neighbor's home, inside a clothes dryer.

Sheriff Margaret Mims announced that deputies found the body of 4-year-old Alex Mercado Saturday and arrested arrest a 14-year-old boy for his murder.

Mercado was reported missing Friday and a massive search effort ended Saturday when his body was found at a neighbor's home, inside a clothes dryer.

Sheriff Mims said Mercado's body was placed in the dryer after the boy was already dead. She didn't release any details about how he died.
