14-Yr-Old Charged As Adult in 4-Year-Old's Murder

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The 14-year-old arrested in the murder of a four-year-old Mendota boy is being charged as an adult.

14-year-old Raul Castro is now facing first degree murder charges. Action News is now revealing his identity because he's being charged as an adult.

Investigators say Castro drowned four-year-old Alex Mercado and then stuffed him in a clothes dryer. Castro is also charged with sexual assault and is scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday.
