Fresno Police have a suspect in custody accused of car theft and burglary. But it didn't happen without a chase.

The suspect-- 28 year old Alex Trinidad led officers on a chase that began as a traffic stop near his Fresno home. Trinidad was in a car with three other people.

When the group discovered they were being followed, Trinidad jumped out of the car and ran across the freeway to escape. Traffic was slowed on the 41 freeway near McKinley, as cars stopped to let him run through. Officers eventually caught up to Trinidad.

They're now working to determine the involvement of the three other people in the car.
