FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Chaffee Zoo's newest giraffe got a triple digit welcome Saturday afternoon. "Baba" gave birth to a baby boy just after 2:30.
And this video was taken just minutes after his birth as he wobbled and fell, trying to stand for the first time.
This is the second giraffe born at the zoo this year but the first died just one week after her birth.
Zoo workers say so far, Baba and her baby boy appear to be doing well but they're going to give them a few days to bond before they put the baby on public display.
