Dogs showed off their costumes at Bully Boo Walk

Sunday, October 24, 2010

Dogs of all sizes put on funny costumes to help their fellow canines Sunday. The Fresno Bully Rescue held its second "Bully Boo" Walk and costume contest at Woodward Park Sunday morning.

And while some dogs showed up in funny wigs to look like humans another had its fur dyed to look like a dinosaur.

Awards were given out for most the creative and funniest costumes. There were plenty of worthy competitors but the top award went to Ronin.

A dog dressed up like his namesake.

"I had a thing going on the year she was born to have a Japanese name and so that's why we decided to go with a costume of a Masterless Samarai, which is what Ronin means," Fresno Mary Claire Bachman said.

A few humans also dressed up with their dogs for today's competition with all proceeds going to the bully rescue.

Action News Reporter Shannon Handy was one of the judges with the tough task of picking the winners.
