Victor Perez became a national hero after tracking down the man who kidnapped an eight year old girl.

Since then he's received many 'thank you's', personal checks and an offer to complete his contractor's license.

Wednesday, Perez looked in the mirror to see a beautiful smile ... something he says he hasn't seen in years.

"I'm outta words," said Perez. "I'm so jazzed about this whole thing ... Dr. Karimi and his whole staff has been treating me so great out here. I'm so happy they helped me out with all of this."

Dental Assistant, Miriam Diaz said, "I could relate to him when he had that missing tooth and I said to Dr. to help him ... and Dr. said to find him

A dentist in Mexicali Mexico pulled out Victor's front tooth years ago ... and he hasn't been back to a dentist since.

He says Dr. Kaveh Karimi's work not only helped his appearance but allowed him to overcome a huge fear of the dentist.
