FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are calling a central Fresno apartment fire arson. The fire broke out around 9:30 Wednesday night on Olive and Cedar avenues.
Eyewitnesses say someone threw something into the kitchen of an apartment unit -- but Fresno Fire officials won't confirm the foul play.
The woman who lives in the apartment was next door when the fire started. When she realized her apartment was on fire, it was too late.
A man sleeping in the apartment when the fire broke out had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The damage from the fire is estimated at $95,000.
