FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the discovery of a body at Pine Flat Lake near the Trimmer Recreation area.
Earlier this afternoon, an employee with the Army Corps of Engineers discovered an unoccupied fishing type boat floating on the lake near the recreation area. They immediately contacted the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded and, after a short search of the immediate area, located the body of a male subject in the water.
It appears at this time, that the subject was the victim of a drowning. There does not appear to be any signs of foul play.
Deputies believe they may know the identity of the deceased subject however; his name is not being released at this time pending notification of the family.
