FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno's Poverello House is dealing with a severe shortage of blankets to give to the homeless.
The shelter typically gives away about fifteen blankets a day. All of which are supplied by the federal government. But the Poverello House isn't due to receive another shipment until the spring.
Since our story ran, the Poverello House has had 175 blankets dropped off. Officials say more are on the way, and donors say it's an easy way to help.
If you'd like to make a donation - you can drop off blankets at the Poverello House or call them at 559-498-6988.
