Gov. shutdown hits Valley families hard

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The shutdown has already hit some local military families hard, especially those with loved ones serving overseas.

JJ Dewey is a mother of three. Her husband works as a crew chief on Blackhawk helicopters. Right now he is serving in Afghanistan. Thursday night she logged onto the Internet to check his upcoming paycheck and was stunned to see it cut in half.
