Bail Babes tracking down fugitives in Modesto

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

A group of crime-fighting women in the North Valley are working to track down fugitives, using their looks and smarts.

They're known as the "Bail Babes". During the day, they're nurses, moms, and students. At night, they work for "Redemption Bail Bonds" in Modesto, hunting men who jumped bail.

They charm the suspect into meeting them for dinner somewhere, and then the big guns move in to make the arrest.

Allie Hayes said, "I don't put them in harm's way. I would never do That. The only thing that could ever possibly happen to these girls, in my mind, is they would break a nail. And for them that's the worst thing that could happen."

The "Bail Babes" carry handcuffs to assist in the arrest, along with a team of private investigators and video surveillance.
