FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Efforts are being made to open the DMV office in Mendota, more than once a week.

The office is currently open only on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. leading to long waits and long lines of people standing outside in the heat.
Assembly Member Henry T. Perea has asked the Department of Motor Vehicles to open the rural Fresno County office an additional day or two a week.
