Man found shot near dumpster at apartment complex

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man Saturday night. It happened just after 9 p.m. at an apartment near Cedar and McKinley in Central Fresno.

Investigators say the victim was found shot near a dumpster at the La Costa Apartments. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Officers are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting, and they have not made any arrests. But they did detain several people for questioning.

Police have not said yet if the shooting was gang-related.
