FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three people are dead and five injured after an early morning crash. Investigators are looking for the driver of the big rig who they say took off after the collision. The accident happened on Belmont near Lyon Avenue south of Firebaugh.

The driver is facing felony hit and run charges and possible vehicular manslaughter charges. Police say the driver of the big rig was carrying grapes and they are now talking to nearby growers for clues for his whereabouts.
Three people died on impact, the five survivors have minor to moderate injuries. They were farmworkers from Mendota on their way to work.
