Man found dead in a Fresno County field

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man's body has been found near Church and Martin Luther King in Fresno County.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Department says they were called out to the area around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say there was obvious trauma to the body, but few other details are known at this time.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
