FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Fresno man wanted in connection with the Christmas Tree Lane stabbing earlier this month.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 19-year-old Nicolas Prado Tuesday afternoon at his apartment in Fresno.
Authorities say Prado is suspected of stabbing a seventeen-year-old on Dec. 13 near the intersection of Van Ness and Griffith.
The stabbing happened while families strolled down Christmas Tree Lane in the historic Fig Garden area.
Detectives say they believe the stabbing was gang-related.
Investigators say witnesses identified Prado as the person who had stabbed the teenager.
Prado has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
