Fresno couple killed in crash near Los Banos

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An elderly couple from Fresno has been killed in a car crash in the North Valley.

The Merced Sun-Star is reporting the crash happened yesterday around 4 p.m. on Highway 152 in west Merced County near Los Banos.

Authorities say the driver of the Toyota Camry was trying to make a right turn when he drove directly into oncoming traffic.

The newspaper says an 84-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman died when a car slammed into them. Their names have not yet been released. The driver of the other vehicle survived.
