FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Friends of a murdered Valley woman continued their efforts to raise money for the victim's family. Sarah Roberts died last weekend after she was shot while walking home from a party.
Friends washed cars at Romeo's Pizza where Roberts formerly worked. The fundraiser also included a bake sale, with all proceeds going to the victim's family.
"Today we're coming together to honor Sarah's memory," said Rosanna Garcia. "To get the community involved in helping find the murderer and to help the family in all the hard times they've come upon."
Roberts is survived by two young children. As friends raise money to help her family with funeral costs, police are asking for any information that could lead them to the people responsible for her death. They believe she may have been caught in crossfire, as she walked home.
