Fresno Co Board of Supervisors approves new chairman

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- There's new leadership at the Fresno County Board of Supervisors.

The board convened Tuesday in their chambers at the Hall of Records and nominated and approved district five supervisor Debbie Poochigian as their new chairman.

Poochigian is beginning the fourth year of her first term.

Incoming vice-chairman and district three supervisor Henry Perea is serving in his second term on the Board of Supervisors.

Perea was board chairman in 2008.
