Man in custody after West Central Fresno chase

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police have one person in custody after a chase in West Central Fresno overnight.

Police responded to reports of shots fired at Victoria Park Apartment on Shields near Parkway.

When they arrived officers saw a car leaving the complex.

The driver quickly drove off when police tried to stop him.

Police chased the car but lost sight of it.

Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies later found the car overturned in a grape vineyard about two miles away.

The suspect was still in the car.

He was taken to the hospital with a cut on his head.
