Valley driver crashes into canal

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A person is recovering after a car ran off a Valley road and into a canal.

The accident happened around midnight at 33 near Hudson.

California Highway Patrol shut down California 33 while they worked to get the car out of the canal.

CHP says the driver was taken to the hospital.

No word on the driver's condition.

The CHP says the road has been re-opened.
