Police investigate murder at hotel in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police are investigating the 16th murder of the year in the city.

Just after 3 a.m. Friday morning, Fresno Police arrived at the Parkland Hotel to investigate a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot would.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead minutes after arriving.

Investigators say the incident appears to be gang related, but the investigation is still ongoing.
