MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Madera County sheriff's office is on the lookout for a man involved in an attempted child abduction Monday morning.

It happened just before eight o'clock Monday morning near Roads 613 and 800 in Raymond.
Deputies say a 10-year-old boy was waiting for the bus to school when a man in a burgundy early 1970's four door Mercedes pulled up and demanded he get inside.
The boy ran home for help. A guardian also spotted the car and alerted authorities.
Letters were sent home to all 84 students at Raymond Knowles Elementary warning them of the incident.
The driver is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 45 to 55. Any suspicious person should be reported immediately.
