House fire in Sanger; family safe

Thursday, May 03, 2012

A Sanger family safely got out of their burning home thanks to neighbors who heard their smoke alarm.

Just after three this morning the Sanger Fire Department responded to the fire at the home on 14th near Greenwood. Firefighters say the fire started in the garage sometime Wednesday night and moved up into the attic overnight setting off smoke alarms in the home. That's when neighbors got the family of three out safely.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is not known.
