FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are looking for a car thief after they say he crashed a car into three Northwest Fresno backyards.
Fresno police say someone drove a stolen Ford Explorer into the neighborhood on Ashlan near Cornelia.
Authorities say the driver lost control of the SUV and crashed his car into three separate backyards around 3 a.m. Monday morning.
At least three fences were damaged and the Explorer's bumper came off during the impact.
Witnesses tell Action News the driver took off after the crash and left the car running.
Fresno police finger-printed the Explorer before they returned it to its owner.
