Suzanne Rivera, 48, crashed into a support vehicle during the Bootjack Road Race Sunday.
Racers were riding down a long and winding road with a fairly steep descent.
The vehicle stopped on the road. Rivera crashed into it, and then was run over by another bicyclist.
A doctor and three nurses who were in the race stopped to help, but they couldn't save her.
