Man pulled from canal in Fresno County dies

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators say a 31-year-old man has died after being found face down in the water next to his bicycle near the intersection of Minnewawa and Balch.

His best friend found him in the water and called 911. The man was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, but he was unable to be saved.

Witnesses tell Action News, the victim was often seen in the area riding his bike and that he was a very nice man.
