Police investigating death at Dolton motel

  

June 20, 2012 (DOLTON, Ill.) -- Police are investigating at least one death at a motel on East Sibley Boulevard in south suburban Dolton Wednesday afternoon.

Officers have secured the scene around the Best Motel and Suites.

So far, police have not determined how the death occurred.

In a statement, Dolton Police Spokesperson Taquoya Kennedy said, "Police responded to the call at 11:14 a.m. It has not been confirmed as a homicide. The crime scene is currently being processed. There was only one body found at the scene. The victim appears to be a female with a gunshot wound to the head. Because this is a critical time in the investigation, that is the only information that we are releasing at this time."
