Student helps Atwater celebrate 90th birthday

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

An 11-year-old North Valley student is helping in the city of Atwater's 90th birthday celebration.

Aurora Rice, a student at Mitchel School, submitted the winning image for an artwork contest.

It has a drawing of the Bloss House on Cedar Avenue, which holds many important city documents from the early days and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The mugs are being sold for $10 each to help raise funds to cover the cost of the city's celebration.
