FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A registered sex offender was arrested for climbing onto a woman's car and clinging to it while she drove around Fresno.
Police say 50-year-old Ruben Aguilar asked a Fresno woman for a ride, but when she refused he jumped onto her car's trunk and held on for several miles. Officers followed the vehicle and safely removed Aguilar when the car stopped at a red light.
Police say Aguilar is a registered sex offender and was wearing an ankle monitor when he was arrested. The female driver told authorities she feared for her life but was not injured in the incident.
