Merced police looking for suspects in thefts

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced police are looking for three suspects accused of beating and robbing a man.

The attack happened Friday morning on R Street, near Loughborough.

Authorities say the suspects beat the victim unconscious before taking his bicycle, cell phone, and wallet. The 21-year-old had to be taken to the hospital with injuries to his face.

Merced police are also looking for the person who robbed a woman at a drive through ATM.

It happened at the Wells Fargo on 18th street near M Friday afternoon. The victim told police a man approached her car as she was withdrawing money and demanded the cash.

Officers say the suspect then grabbed her arm and tried to take the money, but she held on, and the bills were ripped in half. The suspect then ran away.

Anyone with information about either of these robberies is asked to call Merced Police.
