Deadly house fire in Atwater

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A North Valley woman is dead after a house fire in Atwater.

Flames broke out Monday at the home near Valley Street and Holly Avenue. Fire crews rescued the elderly woman from the home but she later died from her injuries.

Investigators are not releasing the woman's name until they notify her family.

Firefighters are trying to find the cause of the fire.
