FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno family must find a place to stay after a fire damaged their home and destroyed an RV.
The fire happened before midnight at a home on Third and Thomas in Central Fresno. Authorities say the fire burned a parked RV to the ground. The flames also destroyed part of the home.
Firefighters say a man and his two sons were sleeping in the house when the fire broke out. Authorities say the father woke up to figure out why the family's dogs were barking.
"He heard the dogs barking again and got up and looked out the window and saw a motor home on fire, and it was fully engulfed at that point the outside of his home was on fire," said Koby Johns with the Fresno Fire Department.
The man woke up his two kids and everyone including their pets got out safely.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
