MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced Police say a Good Samaritan saved a woman's life after she crashed her SUV into a swimming pool.
Her Chevy Blazer was submerged in the water at the Granville Luxury Apartments.
Authorities say 69-year-old Pamela Gwyn was still trapped inside when a man rushed to help her.
Craig Lafleur, 57, pulled the floating SUV to the edge of the pool by its roof rack. He then broke out the back window and rescued the woman.
Investigators say the crash happened this morning after Gwyn somehow missed a turn on Willowbrook Court near Highway 59.
Gwyn drove through a wrought iron fence and then into the pool. Police say Gwyn was not hurt thanks to Lafleur's fast action.
