Visalia gets a new grocery store; Walmart

The city of Visalia just welcomed its third "Walmart," but this store is different with a new Walmart neighborhood grocery market is on Demaree and Goshen Avenues.

The grocery store carries fresh produce and many of your regular grocery items.

Walmart hired 65 people to help run the new store. The neighborhood market features a deli and organic food.

There are 22 Walmart Neighborhood Markets in California -- including the new store in Visalia.

Deborah Walters of Walmart said, "We came to Visalia because we wanted to introduce a smaller format to the community of Visalia that offered fresh produce and grocery its very convenient and right in the neighborhood where everyone lives."

The Walmart Neighborhood Market is open 24-hours a day.
