LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. -- A homicide investigation is under way after former Lake Elsinore City Councilman George Alongi was found dead.
The 77-year-old was discovered in his home on the 1000 block of Dolly Drive at about 5:30 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no official word yet on the cause of death, but investigators say he sustained traumatic body injuries.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
