FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News has learned current Montana head coach Wayne Tinkle has withdrawn his name from the Fresno State men's basketball coaching search.
Tinkle made the decision today from Indianapolis, where his daughter is playing for Stanford in the women's final four. Tinkle was not in Houston with the Fresno State search committee for the men's final four.
When giving his reason for the decision, Tinkle told a Montana newspaper, "I made a commitment to our guys that we were going to chase some things together. We feel like there's unfinished business and we want to keep at it."
