Another big honor for two of the valley's brightest prep football stars, as Buhach Colony defensive lineman Aziz Shittu and Washington Union wide receiver Deontay Greenberry are named Parade All-Americans Thursday.

Both players were named to the first team. For Shittu, despite drawing double and triple-teams all season long, he recorded 89 tackles and six sacks. Shittu is considering Stanford, USC and Cal among other colleges.

As for Greenberry, the Cal-Hi State Player of the Year led the nation in receiving touchdowns with 33, and is committed to Notre Dame.

2 Valley players named to PARADE's All-American HS Football Team

Deontay Greenberry, a 6'3", 190-pound wide receiver from Washington Union High School in Fresno; and Aziz Shittu, a 6'3", 275-pound defensive lineman from Buhach Colony High School in Atwater, where both named to PARADE's All-American High School Football team.

Every year, the PARADE Magazine partners with Sporting News to choose 53 seniors, from around the U.S., whose on-the-field performances represent the best of high school football.

According to PARADE, more than a dozen former PARADE All-American's have won the Heisman Trophy and many go on to become stars in the NFL. Some of these include Emmitt Smith, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, John Elway, Earl Campbell, Peyton Manning, and Frank Gore.

The four other players from California to be named this year are Arik Armstead, a 6'8", 290-pound offensive lineman from Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove; Shaq Thompson, a 6'2", 210-pound defensive back from Grant Union High School in Sacramento; Bryce Treggs, a 6'1", 170-pound wide receiver from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, and Kyle Kelley, a 6'3", 230-pound defensive lineman from Woodbridge High School in Irvine.
