FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- On the ice the Fresno Monsters looked for a series win over Kenai River, after losing Friday but coming back to win Saturday.
Heads on a swivel at the Gateway Ice Center Sunday, solid crowd on hand to watch the Monsters in white trailing 1-0 in the third period before blowing up. Jacob McDowell scored on a backhander to tie it at one apiece.
Then the Monsters used a little thievery by Matt Salituro to take the lead. And they weren't done. And Trevor Husch would cap the scoring by doing some dirty work in front of the net.
One goal deficit late in the third period? No problem, as the Monsters take the series with the 3-1 win.
