ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon is gearing up to be in Ann Arbor for a long time.
The former Domino's Pizza CEO has signed a three-year contract extension, which would take him through the 2017-18 school year.
"(Brandon) has been an engaging representative of Michigan athletics and of the University and he has done an outstanding job of leading Michigan's intercollegiate athletics in a highly competitive landscape," school president Mary Sue Coleman said in a statement Monday.
Since he started at Michigan in March 2010, the former university regent has helped re-design the athletic department's marketing strategy, pushed through improvements to facilities including Michigan Stadium and the Crisler Center, and hired a slew of new coaches, including football coach Brady Hoke.
AnnArbor.com reported Brandon will make $800,000 in 2012-13, then receive $50,000 raises every school year thereafter.
