9/27/2008 SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Nobody walks in L.A. -- including man's best friend. But it is still legal to drive with your dog in the car.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-California, has vetoed a bill that would fine drivers $35 for sharing the driver's seat with lapdogs or other animals. A Republican assemblyman introduced the bill after seeing a woman driving with three dogs on her lap.
The governor says he's only signing bills that are a high priority for the state of California, and a lapdog ban isn't one of them.
