FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews in Kern County are planning to work through the night to fight a 2,000 acre wildfire.
The wildfire has been burning since Sunday afternoon over rugged terrain near Bodfish 32-miles east of Bakersfield.
Highway 178 is back open Monday after it was closed, Sunday. Fire officials say they evacuated two campgrounds in the area.
The U.S. forest service says more than 350 firefighters are taking on the three-square-mile wildfire. There are no reports of injuries and the fire is not threatening nearby homes.
