Fire crews in Kern County are planning to work through the night to fight a 2,000 acre wildfire.

The wildfire has been burning since Sunday afternoon over rugged terrain near Bodfish 32-miles east of Bakersfield.

Highway 178 is back open Monday after it was closed, Sunday. Fire officials say they evacuated two campgrounds in the area.
