Sandhya Patel

Sandhya Patel is a meteorologist for the ABC7 weather department and is the weather anchor for the weekday ABC7 News at 5 and 11 p.m. as well as ABC7 News at 9 p.m. on Your TV20.

Sandhya holds the American Meteorological Seal of Approval (AMS) and the National Weather Association Seal of Approval (NWA).

Sandhya joined ABC7 in May 1999 from KCBA in Salinas where she worked since 1993. Sandhya worked in various positions before becoming a weather anchor including as a reporter, assignment editor, writer and producer.

Sandhya received a Bachelor of Arts in radio and television from San Francisco State University and received her Certificate in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
