Amy Hollyfield joined ABC7 News as a reporter in April of 2004. Amy reports for the weekday ABC7 Morning News from 5 - 7 a.m.

Prior to joining our team full-time, Amy worked as a freelance reporter and writer for ABC7 News. She's also reported and anchored at several stations throughout Texas and one in Montana.

While working at the ABC affiliate in Austin, Amy was voted Best Reporter in an Austin Chronicle Reader Poll in 2000 and received an AP investigative award. She's covered such national stories as the Texas A&M bonfire tragedy, the escape of the Texas 7 and George W. Bush's election as governor of Texas. In California, Amy has covered the recall of Gov. Gray Davis, the Laci Peterson case and the same-sex marriage debate in San Francisco.

Amy is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She's a member of the Junior League of San Francisco and a volunteer at the Legion of Honor.

Amy lives in San Francisco with her husband.
