Nannette Miranda

Nannette Miranda

Nannette Miranda joined ABC7 in December, 2003 as the Sacramento Bureau Chief for the ABC Owned stations in California. Nannette covers statewide issues of importance to our viewers and the viewers of our sister stations, KABC-TV Los Angeles and KFSN-TV Fresno.

Nannette was most recently a reporter for WFTS-TV in Tampa, Florida as well as an adjunct professor of Journalism at St. Petersburg College in Clearwater Florida.

Her career in television began as a reporter for Marianas Cablevision in the US Commonwealth of Saipan. She went from there to KTAL-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana where she was the East Texas Bureau reporter. Then it was on to a reporting position at KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nannette won the Best Foreign Reporting Award in 2002 and the Best Breaking News Award in 2003 from the Society of Professional Journalists chapter in Florida.

Nannette is originally from Fremont and attended Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication degree from University of California, Berkeley and a Masters of Science in Journalism from Columbia University.
