Lisa Amin Gulezian is a general assignment reporter for ABC7 News, primarily working out of the South Bay bureau.
She joined ABC7 in March of 2008.
Lisa is a Bay Area native but has lived all over the country and has traveled extensively throughout the world.
She began her reporting career at KHSL, in Chico, CA; then went to WDSI in Chattanooga, TN; WTHR in Indianapolis; KTXL in Sacramento; and KNTV in San Jose.
Lisa has covered several high profile stories, locally, including the Scott Peterson murder trial, as well as internationally, like the tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia.
Lisa was honored with an Edward R. Murrow award for a series in Honduras, where she traveled with an American medical group that helped villagers in the most rural parts of the country. She is also a two time recipient of the South Asian Journalism Award for Outstanding Story Telling.
Lisa is tri-lingual in Spanish and Gujarati, which is an East Indian dialect.
She attended U.C. Berkeley and double majored in American Literature and Mass Communications.
When she's not working, Lisa enjoys using her passport as much as possible. She's visited 17 countries and enjoys surfing, reading, and running. In fact, she recently completed her first marathon.
