Viral video: Koala hangs out with canoers

(KGO) -- A group of canoers had the experience of a lifetime while on a trip down under.

The group was canoeing along Australia's Gold Coast when they found a koala on the side of the river. The little guy must have thought that was fun because it jumped in the water and swim out to the canoe. The tourists pulled the koala into the boat and gave it a short ride.

Video of this amazing encounter has already gotten half a million hits on YouTube.

Animal experts warn that despite their cuteness, koalas can be very vicious.
